102.4 YUCK:(

No kidding - this kid is sick again! He is building immunities to last a life time. He seemed okay yesterday morning... a little clingy, but that could have been anything. He went down for a nap yesterday and slept for 3 1/2 hours! (Yes I was considering myself blessed yesterday.) When he woke up from his nap I went in to get him and gave him a kiss and thought he felt so warm and cuddly... it was a little more than warm and cuddly I decided so I took his temperature. 102.4... it actually got up to 102.9 before he went to bed, so I was a little worried. He woke up this morning and is still in the 101 range. He seems fine though. In the picture above he actually got this blanket from the shelf, pulled it over to the couch and motioned for me to pull it up over him. He is getting a good dose of Sesame Street. The look in his eyes says it all... "I've got this one wrapped around my little finger!"

Dinner on Monday

Last night Joey helped me make Calzones for dinner! They pass the taste test!

Easter Egg Hunt

Joey participated in his first Easter Egg Hunt with the rest of the cousins at DejaVu this past weekend. Lucky for him his buddy Colin was looking out. He made sure Joey had plenty of eggs... with delicious Swedish Fish!

First Haircut!

Today we went to the Paul Marie Salon at the Woodmoor Shopping Center and Joey had his first haricut. He was sooooooooooo good... although I am sure it had to do with how sweet Norma was to him. (The lady who cut his hair, who also happens to be the owner.) She talked to him before we got started and then had him sit on my lap... we both got a 'cape'. She asked if it was okay to turn on some cartoons... YEAH! He hardly noticed he was getting his haircut. He was so good that he got a lollipop at the end. Nana came along and captured the whole thing on 'film'. Norma gave me an envelope with a lock of his hair and a card with the date and place to record his first haircut! This was one of Joey's last firsts as a little baby and it went very smoothly!

Back from Florida!

We went down to Florida to visit Nan last week and had a GREAT time in the warm weather! One of Joey's favorite things to do was throw a ball outside from the grass to the porch. He also had a blast dancing at The Villages, which is the hippest place to be if you are over 65! We also took a trip to Hommosasso (who know's if I spelled that right) Park. Here is a picture of Joey and Ann watching the Hippo play with his ball. Joey was pretty upset when we had to leave, due to his obsession with balls. Anne told him that we would could keep moving and maybe see if some of the other animals had balls. Before she realized what she said the man beside us was laughing. HaHa! That has to be the quote of the trip!

Joey and I found this wooley bear catepillar outside the house this morning... does anyone remember what a completely black one means... I know if it has an orange strip it is suppose to mean something... but I don't remember.

Playdate with Katlyn

Katlyn came over to hang out with Joey on Saturday and besides one bloody lip... that probably bothered me and Matt more than Joey, the day was a hit. They played very well together and even appeased me and colored their St. Patty's Day frames that I had to have that morning. We even made it through a whole dinner at Fajita Coast. They looked even cuter in their PJ's at the end of the night when they were ready to go home.

Open Gym

Score!!!!! We stopped by the gym to play with some of the kiddy equipment they had out. And YES - Joey did score a basket all by himself with this hoop. He was pretty excited about it. Then it was back up to the school area!

Coffield Center

These pictures are especially for Jo... she was a little disappointed when she didn't actually get to see Joey's first painting... so here you are... these are many of the activities we did at 'school' today. The first picture shows Joey at the craft table making a sun... he used all three textures: yarn, cellophane and tissue paper. The next shot is one of Joey playing house... he is going after the cookie jar. The third and fourth are of his second attempt at painting that day and the last one shows Joey creating some play dough seals.

First morning of school - well kindof!

Thanks to Jessica's blog, A Parent in Silver Spring, Joey and I were lucky enough to sign up for a pre-school prep program, where I get to tag along. We will be able to go to the Coffield center every Monday and Friday and do activities like paint, play house and build blocks with other kiddos and their parents. Joey created his first painting today and we are looking for the perfect place to hang it!

Hangin' out with Da in the mornin'

Joey loves to play guitar with his daddy:)

Ratatouille

After chasing Da down and capturing Tigger Joey had a bedtime snack with his Grandmommie while watching, "Ratatouille". They were sooooooooooo comfy!
